If you are concerned about a threat of harm to yourself or others, know there are resources to help. The following resources are available to anyone who needs them, including staff, faculty, and other academic appointees, postdocs, and students.

Emergencies and imminent threats

If you need emergency support related to a threat of harm, please call 911 or call the UCPD emergency number (510) 642-3333 anytime, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

If you need urgent support related to a student's mental health concern, you can contact CAPS at 510-642-9494 (or 24 hours at 855-817-5667).

National Suicide Prevention Line

The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available 24/7. Call or text 988.

For TTY Users: Use your preferred relay service or dial 711 then 988.

Campus Mobile Crisis Response

The Campus Mobile Crisis Response team provides care to students, faculty, and staff experiencing mental health crises (urgent, but not emergent).

Center for Support and Intervention (CSI) Care Report
